When the engine mounts fail, you will feel while sitting in the seats and at times through the steering wheel mostly at idle. Engine misfires. Mercedes Benz engines and not immune to engine misfires. Most common issue is worn spark plugs that haven't been changed at the proper maintenance interval. Another common problem is a failed ignition coil. Most failed ignition coils are from, that’s right, worn spark plugs. Worn spark plugs will cause the ignition coils to overwork and overheat. While on the subject of Mercedes Benz spark plugs, be careful what brand spark plugs are used at replacement.  Some Mercedes Benz engines, Gas Direct Injected (GDI) engines, require factory Mercedes Benz branded spark plugs or engine damage can result. Oil Leaks. Mercedes Benz engines do not leak often but depending on the engine here are some of the common leaks. oil Filter, oil cooler housing leak at the seal between the engine and filter/cooler housing. Most times just replacing the seal will not fix the leak, proper repair is replacing the entire housing. Valve cover gaskets tend to leak, the valve cover gaskets get old and shrink requiring replacement.  Camshaft plugs, crankcase breather cover on back of cylinder heads. If your Mercedes-Benz engine is equipped with these parts, the plastic fails and oil leaks out of the engine. Air suspension.
