Let us tell you our story of from the beginning...
Gary Vroegh is the owner of Stuttgart Autohaus. He was born and raised in an Iowa cornfield at his fathers VW repair shop, Dales Foreign Car Service. Dale worked hard to earn an outstanding reputation for VW diagnosis and repair. In 1981 they sold their successful business and moved to Tucson.
Dale opened a used VW lot with Gary maintaining and repairing the vehicles. Given a few special tools and a stack of manuals Dale told Gary “There you go.” In the following years Gary expanded and refined his knowledge of the workings of VWs. He went on to work in the service department of Borgman (later Grant Road Volkswagen). In 1992 he purchased Wagenhaus with a service writer up front and himself in back. Within a short couple years he had moved up front and had three techs in the back. After many years of hard and successful toil Gary took some time off to spend time with his wife and kids. Two years later Gary once more went into VW service, this time at Beaudry. He went from service writer to service manager in record time.
After four years of success at the dealer Gary decided to once more to run his own business. He worked for Ed Kocher at Stuttgart Autohaus for six months to demonstrate his technical knowledge and service skills as well as to prove his ability to run and own his own business.
In August of 2005 Gary and his wife Penny. purchased Stuttgart Autohaus. Since that day he has carried on Stuttgart’s history of quality work and customer service. He has upheld the Stuttgart motto “Stuttgart Autohaus, where service makes the difference.”
